In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the official release, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
